Not every survivor announces themselves loudly. Some arrive quietly — thin, worn, and asking for very little and it is only over time that you begin to understand the full weight of what they carried. Jackie was rescued from a fraudulent shelter in Mityana, where a scammer deliberately starved animals and kept them in inhumane conditions to manufacture suffering and solicit donations from well-meaning donors. She was one of them. And when she arrived in our care, it was her quietness not her condition that stayed with you.
Since entering care she has made remarkable progress through dedicated veterinary treatment, proper nutrition, and compassionate rehabilitation. Her resilience through that recovery says everything about who she is.
She is a gentle, calm, and deeply affectionate female with a quiet and humble temperament. Jackie does not demand your attention she earns it through her steady presence and the kind of devotion that does not need to announce itself to be felt. She enjoys a peaceful environment, interacts warmly with both people and other dogs, and avoids conflict naturally. Her quiet confidence makes her particularly well suited to a household that values tranquility and calm companionship.
Jackie is ready for a loving home where she can continue to thrive and share the quiet devotion that defines her. She has been through more than enough. Now it is simply her turn to be loved.
