This operation began with a tip from one of our trusted animal welfare advocates in Uganda. It led to a BBC documentary filmed in Uganda in the summer of 2025 exposing the dog scam network operating out of Mityana. What followed was one of the most significant animal rescue operations in Uganda's history.
