Some dogs, when they have been let down by people, decide that people are no longer worth their trust. Asante made the opposite choice. Rescued from a fraudulent shelter in Mityana where a scammer deliberately kept animals in traumatic and inhumane conditions to manipulate donors into giving money Asante arrived in our care and almost immediately began looking for someone to love. That is who he is. That is who he has always been.

He is a confident, loyal, and deeply affectionate male with a calm and balanced temperament. Within his social group Asante is a respected presence earning the trust of other dogs naturally and without force. With people he gives his love completely and without reservation, forming exceptionally strong bonds with those he cares about. He is the dog who will be by your side whether you are working, resting, or sitting in silence calm enough that his presence brings comfort rather than chaos.

Beyond his gentleness, Asante is athletic, energetic, and highly intelligent. He responds well to guidance, picks up new routines quickly, and thrives with structure and positive reinforcement.
