When you meet Olaf, the first thing you notice is how present he is. Attentive. Warm. Completely focused on the person in front of him as though you are the most interesting thing in his world. Which makes it all the more remarkable that this is a dog who was rescued from a fraudulent shelter in Mityana, where a scammer deliberately subjected animals to trauma and cruelty as a tool to solicit donor funds. Olaf was there. He saw and felt all of it. And somehow, impossibly, he still looks at people the way he does with trust, curiosity, and an openness that most dogs never manage even without going through what he did.
He is a large and striking male approximately 82 cm long and 54 cm tall with a beautiful brown coat and a distinct ridge along his back that gives him an appearance reminiscent of a Rhodesian Ridgeback. Impressive to look at. Even more impressive to know.
Olaf is friendly, loyal, and highly obedient. He forms deep, lasting bonds with the people he trusts and thrives on human interaction and companionship. His affection does not fade over time it deepens, reflecting a remarkable capacity for loyalty and enduring attachment that makes him the kind of dog you build a life with rather than simply share a home with.
He is naturally observant and often among the first to notice unfamiliar sounds, people, or changes in his environment. His curiosity is balanced by confidence he assesses new situations calmly and without unnecessary fear or aggression. He even enjoys grooming, responding positively to gentle handling and routine care, making every session a quiet moment of connection rather than a struggle.
Olaf is passionate, gentle, and emotionally devoted. He is ready for a loving home where he can continue to build the kind of strong, lifelong bonds that come so naturally to him. Whoever welcomes him in will gain far more than a dog. They will gain a devoted companion for life.
